Pentecost

Pentecost is the culmination of the season of Easter. We celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of the church.

It is a day of high celebration within the church, rich in colour and imagery such as flames, wind and doves with which children can engage.

The Holy Spirit often appears to be the least tangible of the three persons of the Trinity.

For many children in the church family, Pentecost is their first concrete encounter with the nature and person of the Holy Spirit.
